Meet Our Staff

Optician

To further advance her ophthalmic dispensing competency, she obtained her American Board of Opticianry certification in May of 2022. Christie also manages all our social media platforms.

 She resides in Vincennes with her husband Trevor, and two sons, Jaxson and Oliver. Christie cherishes any time spent with family especially when they visit the Great Smokey Mountains on their annual vacation. In her free time she also enjoys shopping, photography, golf, and cheering her kids on in their sporting events.

Optician

Kyla is our newest team member and is a part of our optical team. She assists each patient in selecting the optimal eyewear to meet each person’s lifestyle needs. Her favorite part of her job is finding the perfect frame for each patient to make them feel the most confident.

Kyla is a Vincennes native and attended Vincennes Lincoln. She lives with her husband Clayton and 2 dogs Winston and Boone (AKA “Boofus Magoofus”). Kyla spends her free time as a savings-savvy shopper and a certified dog groomer. She also enjoys time spent with family, anything Disney, quoting her favorite movies, and rewatching the office for the millionth time.

Office Manager

Rebekah has been in various positions throughout our office which gave her the experience to transition into an office manager position. In ensuring proper medical billing, she obtained her billing and coding certification in the spring of 2023.

She resides in Vincennes with her husband Andrew, their two children Collin and Mila, and their dogs Coby, and Maui. Lincoln is where she attended high school and graduated from the International Business College in Indianapolis; she also spent some time at Indiana State University. Rebekah loves to spend time with her kids and her husband when she is not at work. You can find them visiting the beach, spending time outdoors, and worshiping the Lord at church. She also enjoys yoga, shopping, and spending time with her extended family.

Insurance & Billing

Susan is responsible for authorizing patient insurance information and ensuring proper billing of patient accounts. She prides herself on accurately assessing patients’ insurance benefits to provide proper care to our patients.

Susan is a Vincennes native who attends South Knox. She resides with her husband, Charlie. They have 3 children Emily, Cory, McKinly, and one grandbaby, Gracelynn. When she’s not at work you can find her spending time outdoors, boating on the lake, and spending time with her family. Coffee and crafting are her favorite pastimes.

Bookkeeper

Karen has been our office manager for the past 5 years and has moved into retirement. She could not quite hang it up totally and is still managing our books here at the office a couple of days a week.

Karen is a Vincennes native and attended South Knox and Vincennes University. She is a licensed registered nurse. She resides with her husband Doug in Halterville. They have 4 children, Jericho, Zach, Jessica, and Matti, and 8 grandchildren. During Karen’s free time, she loves to travel with family, root on the Indiana Hoosiers, and spend time with all her grandchildren. In her retirement, she will be traveling more and enjoying her RV.

Reception

Shawanna works check out at our front desk. Her number one focus is customer service and ensuring that each patient leaves our office with a positive experience. Catch her smiling face the next time you walk through our doors.

Shawanna resides in Vincennes with her wife Kirsten and their 3 children Bria, Jace, and Spencer. She has a huge passion for youth mental health and children with special needs. When Shawanna is not at work you can find her spending time with her family, listening to music, drinking coffee, and obsessing over sunflowers and rainbows.

Optometric Tech

As an optometric technician Kayla assists patients in recording medical history, preliminary testing procedures, and contact lens training. By communicating accurately between the patient and doctor, she prides herself on providing the best care for all patients.

Kayla resides in Lawrenceville with her fiancé Coy and their 4 kids, Adriannah, Ellie, Kayston, and AnnElise. When she is not cheering on her kids in the various sports, she enjoys spending time outdoors, crafting, and hanging out with family.
